Our Team
Chartam House Nursery is owned by husband and wife, Amy, and Adam. Parents to our own little boy Jay, we know how important the choice of a nursery is. We wanted a small, home from home and truly independent Nursery in which our son could thrive and opened Chartam House when we moved to the Maidenhead area in 2023.
We developed our Learn Well mission because simply put, we want to leave things better than we found them; to do good and be good. At Chartam House Nursery, our wonderful team, led by our exceptional Area Director, Cindy who has been part of our nursery family over 20 years and our wonderful Management team, Jessica & Helen, combine the very best in early years learning with an environment which supports the curiosity for learning and well-being of every child.
I have been working in education since 2001 and have a Degree in Early Years. I have been part of the Learn Well Nursery family since 2005, starting out as a class teacher, then stepping up to Nursery Manager and then Area Director.
As a mother of two, I know how special the Early Years are and how important it is that every child is given the best opportunity to play, learn and grow in a warm and supportive environment. I strongly believe in valuing each child and encouraging them to believe in themselves. We strive to support the children to become confident and independent individuals who have a passion for exploring and learning through curiosity and wonder. Thanks to our small class sizes and excellent teachers we have at Chartam House Nursery, I feel that we are able to achieve this and to make every family feel welcomed and supported.

Hello I’m Jess. I have been working in early years for the last 14 years where I have gained hands on experience supporting young children’s learning and development. I am deeply passionate about the Curiosity Approach, natural outdoor learning and championing environments filled with awe, wonder and authentic exploration.
